WICHITA, Kan. (May 28, 2026) — Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced the Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 with Garmin autothrottles has earned validation from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), enabling customer deliveries across Europe and Brazil. The milestone expands global availability of the newest most delivered light-entry jet, bringing pilot-focused technology to two key international markets.

“For our customers, these validations unlock access to technology that helps simplify flying in some of the world’s most complex operating environments,” said Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing. “The Citation M2 Gen2 with Garmin autothrottles delivers an intuitive cockpit experience, helping pilots manage workload with greater confidence.”

Garmin autothrottles automatically manage engine thrust to maintain target speeds, reducing pilot workload during high-demand phases of flight such as climbs, descents and approaches. The system supports smoother, more predictable flight profiles and allows pilots to focus on situational awareness and decision-making, particularly in congested terminal areas.

“Earning ANAC and EASA validation for the Citation M2 Gen2 with Garmin autothrottles reinforces Textron Aviation’s proven ability to certify advanced aircraft efficiently across global regulatory authorities,” said Chris Hearne, senior vice president, Engineering & Programs. “This achievement reflects our deep certification expertise and our continued commitment to delivering pilot-focused innovation that meets the highest international safety standards.”

Approval by both authorities underscores Textron Aviation’s capability to support international fleets with consistent certification pathways, helping customers operate seamlessly across regions. The milestone builds on the M2 Gen2’s strong global momentum and reinforces the Cessna brand’s focus on practical innovation designed around the pilot experience. In 2024, the company announced the next generation light jet, Cessna Citation M2 Gen3, which is currently in development and expected to enter into service in 2027.
