Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, is showcasing its latest product investments at the Latin American Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (LABACE) this week in São Paulo, Brazil with the regional debut of the company’s newest super-midsize business jet under development– the Cessna Citation Longitude.
“The Citation Longitude is a revolutionary step forward for the super-midsize business jet segment, and LABACE attendees are sure to be impressed with the aircraft’s spacious cabin boasting [best-in-class legroom and commanding performance capabilities with a 3,500-nautical mile range,” said Lannie O’Bannion, vice president, Sales for Latin America, Middle East and Africa. “The Longitude delivers an ideal mission profile for flying regionally or for longer international trips allowing operators to move their businesses forward.”
The company is also highlighting the breadth of its product portfolio through its Cessna Citation Latitude, Cessna Citation CJ3+, Cessna Citation M2, Beechcraft King Air 350i, Beechcraft King Air C90GTx, Cessna Grand Caravan EX and Beechcraft Baron G58 aircraft on display.
“Textron Aviation continuously invests in both its aircraft platforms and support network. That spirit of innovation can easily be experienced through the products on display – [all of which have seen investment throughout the last three years,” O’Bannion said.
Alongside the company’s new product investments, Textron Aviation is actively expanding its service and support footprint throughout Latin America. In addition to the six in-region Textron Aviation field service engineers delivering on-demand support, the company has increased its regional parts inventory to expedite parts delivery to customers and enhance support in AOG events. Textron Aviation also works with regional channel partners TAM Aviação Executiva (TAM) and Central Charter de Colombia (Central Charter) to deliver AOG support tailored to meet the unique needs of customers throughout the region.
With a four passenger range of 6,482 kilometers (3,500 nautical miles) and full fuel payload of 726 kilograms (1,600 pounds), the Citation Longitude will travel nonstop throughout the region. Designed to elevate passenger expectations in the super-midsize class by delivering the quietest cabin, the Citation Longitude has a low cabin altitude (1,814 meters/5,950 feet), more standard features and a comfortable, bespoke interior. With seating for up to 12 passengers, including an optional crew jump seat, the Longitude features a stand-up, 6-foot tall flat-floor cabin. A standard double-club configuration delivers the most legroom in the super-midsize class. Fully lie-flat seats are designed and manufactured in-house and a walk-in baggage compartment is accessible throughout the entire flight. State-of-the-art cabin technology enables passengers to manage their environment and entertainment from any mobile device, while high-speed internet maximizes in-flight productivity.
The clean-sheet design of the Longitude integrates the latest technology throughout the aircraft, expected to bring customers the lowest ownership cost in this class. Longitude features the next evolution of the Garmin G5000 flight deck and FADEC-equipped Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines featuring fully integrated autothrottles with envelope protection. With Garmin’s new Head-up Display (GHD 2100) and enhanced vision options, the Longitude facilitates eyes-up flying. The spacious cockpit incorporates easier access and an ergonomic design that fully focuses on crew comfort and efficiency.
No super-midsize business jet offers more range, greater payload or higher cruise speed at a lower expected total ownership cost. Textron Aviation designed the Longitude with the longest maintenance intervals in its class – 800 hours or 18 months – expected to make it the most cost-effective aircraft to operate in its category.
