Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced it has received an order for two Beechcraft Baron G58 and two Beechcraft Bonanza G36 aircraft from Egyptian Aviation Academy. These aircraft will join the academy’s exclusive Textron Aviation fleet as they continue to modernize their training platforms.
“The Beechcraft Bonanza and Baron are proven platforms ideally suited to train students as they transition into high-performance, turbine aircraft,” said Bob Gibbs, vice president of Special Mission Aircraft. “We look forward to furthering our longstanding relationship with Egyptian Aviation Academy and providing support as they continue to grow and modernize their fleet.”
Egyptian Aviation Academy, located in 6 October Airport, Giza, was established in 1932 and has since grown into the leading training school in the region. The academy has a proven track record of training successful pilots with an exclusive Textron Aviation fleet that includes Cessna Citation Mustang, Cessna Skyhawk 172 and Beechcraft Bonanza G36 and Baron G58 aircraft.
“The Egyptian Aviation Academy has chosen to continue its longstanding relationship with Textron Aviation’s Beechcraft brand by replacing its legacy Barons and Bonanzas with the latest models,” said Elias Sadek, chairman of the Egyptian Aviation Academy.
“The reliability of the aircraft, the caliber of the after-sale service, the full support we receive from Africair, Inc., and the strong relationship we have with our regional Textron Aviation representative solidified the decision to continue with Beechcraft products,” Sadek noted.
The Beechcraft Baron G58 and Beechcraft Bonanza G36 offer unparalleled performance, reliability, efficiency and the exceptional handling characteristics ideal for pilot training. The Baron sets the standard for twin-engine piston aircraft. With 600 horsepower and twin-engine redundancy, the aircraft provides seating for six, dual aft cabin doors for easy boarding, and fore and aft baggage compartments for a diverse mission profile. Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, the Bonanza is the longest continuously produced aircraft in history with more than 18,000 units delivered to date. Continued refinement and improvements have allowed the Bonanza to reach new heights in comfort and capability.
Textron Aviation offers the broadest lineup of special mission platforms in the industry, with its entire product range available in special mission configurations using innovative technologies and advanced engineering techniques. The Textron Aviation family of aircraft, including single and multi-engine pistons, turboprops and Citation jets, provide the high performance and flight characteristics required to fit mission profiles such as air ambulance, float operations, flight inspection, aerial surveillance, training, utility transport and more.
