The Textron Aviation Flight Adventure brings aviation to life for a new generation

The Textron Aviation Flight Adventure at Exploration Place brings Wichita’s aviation story to life through hands-on discovery. Featuring a Beechcraft Staggerwing atop a control tower and an explorable Cessna Citation business jet, the attraction offers an up-close experience with aircraft that have deep roots in the community.

Before the Flight Adventure opened to the public, Textron Aviation employees and their families were among the first to explore the new space together.

For generations, Wichitans have carried forward a proud legacy of designing, building and supporting aircraft. The Flight Adventure celebrates that history through an approachable, tactile experience. Exploring the aircraft firsthand invites children to imagine where aviation could take them.

“Aviation is deeply connected to the people and history of Wichita,” said Maggie Topping, senior vice president, Human Resources and Communications. “The Flight Adventure gives families a new way to connect with that legacy while introducing more children to an industry that continues to shape our community.”

The Flight Adventure reflects Textron Aviation’s longstanding connection to Wichita and continued investment in the communities where its employees live and work. By creating a place for families to experience aviation together, Textron Aviation is helping share Wichita’s aviation heritage with the people who call the city home as well as those discovering it for the first time.
