Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has been honored with an Aviation Week Network Laureate Award in the Business Aviation category for its investment in the Career & Learning Center, which plays a key role in attracting, training and developing its workforce.

Presented during the 68th Annual Laureate Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., the recognition highlights organizations making significant contributions across the global aerospace industry. The award demonstrates Textron Aviation’s belief that a strong, skilled workforce is essential to building and delivering world‑class aircraft and sustaining long‑term business success.

Since its inception in 1957, Aviation Week Network’s Laureate Awards have recognized extraordinary achievements across the aerospace industry, honoring organizations whose innovations and investments help shape the future of global aviation.

“This award means a great deal to us because it recognizes what’s at the heart of our company — investing in our people,” said Maggie Topping, senior vice president, Human Resources & Communications, who accepted the award on behalf of the company. “The Career & Learning Center brings hiring, onboarding and training together under one roof, strengthening our current workforce and building the talent pipeline we will need for the future of aviation.”

By consolidating 15 separate locations into one centralized hub, the company made it easy for prospective employees to join the team. The facility houses everything from initial candidate interviews to hands-on learning experiences that mirror the real shop floor, teaching new employees how to read blueprints, install rivets, assemble sheet metal and more. It also provides classroom settings for professional development training, giving current employees a place to upskill.

In addition, there is a dedicated K-12 space for local students to participate in hands-on activities, including flying a Cessna Skyhawk 172 simulator, the world’s leading trainer aircraft. Together, these experiences build the confidence and capabilities the current and future workforce need to succeed.
