Special Olympics Airlift

The Special Olympics Airlift, organized by Textron Aviation in collaboration with the Special Olympics USA Games, is a powerful event that will take place Friday, June 19, 2026, and Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Paul Downtown Airport Holman Field (KSTP) in Minnesota. This remarkable initiative mobilizes hundreds of volunteer pilots and aircraft – known as Doves – from across the country, ensuring that athletes and coaches from all over the nation can travel to the Special Olympics USA Games without facing financial or logistical hurdles. As the world's largest peacetime airlift, it demonstrates the aviation community's ability to come together in support of a great cause. Since its inception in 1987, the Airlift has transported more than 10,000 athletes, showcasing its enduring impact. During its operational period, aircraft will touch down or take off from KSTP every three minutes throughout a 10-hour span, underscoring the event's scale and complexity. Textron Aviation will be celebrating the Airlift and signing up Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker Doves at its hall and static display throughout NBAA-BACE.
