At Textron Aviation, interns are empowered to try different fields, learn new skills and collaborate with seasoned professionals to build their careers. Interns are not simply short-term employees; they are the future leaders and innovators of the aviation workforce.
This summer, over 550 interns gained firsthand exposure to careers in Engineering, Maintenance, Information Technology, Interior Design, Parts & Distribution, Supply Chain, Product Support, Marketing, Sales Operations, Manufacturing, Communications, Human Resources, Customer Support and more.
One hundred fifty interns participated in the high school internship program, a part-time, paid experience. During this six-week program, students established valuable peer and mentor connections, attended a career expo, participated in a service day based in Wichita, Kansas, and stretched their abilities in a STEM competition.
Over 400 college interns joined the Textron Aviation team for a ten-week period, working full-time in paid positions. The college intern program is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders and innovators by providing early-career growth opportunities that help students discover and pursue their interests.
July 25 is National Intern Day, a time to celebrate interns and thank them for their energy, teamwork and passion that propels Textron Aviation to new heights.
