Textron Aviation personnel engaged with Dubai Airshow attendees to show them firsthand how Defense and Special Missions aircraft serve the Middle East and African regions with expanded capabilities.
At the Dubai Airshow Site in the United Arab Emirates, Textron Aviation demonstrated how it is shaping the future of aerospace to a global audience, meeting the needs of people, governments and organizations.
Its diverse aircraft portfolio has been displayed and fit a wide variety of missions. On site have been the Beechcraft King Air 360 and Cessna Grand Caravan EX, which can be configured for multiple missions to include: mapping/aerial survey, intelligence surveillance & reconnaissance, maritime patrol/search and rescue, flight inspection, training, air ambulance, utility/transport, and much more – landing on sand, gravel, grass in remote locations, along with traditional runways.
These aircraft lead the sector in range and perform well in high-temperature, difficult environments. Versatility and reliability answers the demand in this crucial sector, when lives are in the balance.
The team has led behind-the-scene tours and met with attendees to show how Textron Aviation is facilitating emergency responders within the region.
One particular area of interest was Textron Aviation’s support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s weather modification missions, including its recent contract award. In Defense, the Cessna SkyCourier, Grand Caravan and the King Air 360 and 260 were recently included in an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract award by the U.S. Army in support of foreign military sales.
