As Textron Aviation gears up for the 2022 Special Olympics Airlift, five local athletes recently visited the Wichita, Kan., facility to meet Ron Draper, president and CEO, while hearing a special announcement – they would be taking a private aircraft to the 2022 USA Games.
The Airlift will kick off the quadrennial Special Olympics USA Games scheduled for June 2022. In a span of days, thousands of athletes and coaches from coast to coast will travel to Orlando, Fla., for the memorable opportunity to compete and continue life skills development.
Textron Aviation calls on aircraft owners and operators across the country to join the signature event by donating the use of aircraft, crew and fuel.
