Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today announced Doreen Welsh, one of the crew members aboard U.S. Airways Flight 1549, as its 2017 U.S. customer conference keynote speaker, where she will recount the awe-inspiring story of her first-hand account of “The Miracle on the Hudson.” Textron Aviation will welcome Citation, King Air and Hawker customers to its annual conference, which will be held April 24-26, in Wichita, Kansas.
“We are honored to host Doreen as she shares her riveting account of that unforgettable day with our Customer Conference attendees,” said Kriya Shortt, senior vice president of Customer Service. “Each year we are privileged to bring our customers together to share and collaborate on topics relevant to the ownership and maintenance of their aircraft, as well as showcase the latest available technologies and provide company updates.”
Throughout the three-day event, customers will have access to Textron Aviation leaders and can attend a variety of seminars from subject matter experts and supplier representatives on nearly every aspect of aircraft maintenance and operation. Conference seminars will be grouped either by aircraft model or by general aviation topic, such as new products, fleet operations, airspace management, international operations and other general interest topics.
In addition to suppliers exhibiting their technologies and services, attendees will be offered tours of the various Textron Aviation facilities in Wichita, as well as have access to a static display showcasing the company’s jet and turboprop product line – including the new Citation Hemisphere cabin display.
