Today, the company announced that Justin Salmans is returning to Textron Aviation to serve as senior vice president, Supply Chain. In his new role, Justin will be responsible for production, aftermarket and defense procurement for Textron Aviation, Textron Aviation Defense and our affiliate companies.
“It is impressive to see how Textron Aviation has grown in supporting customers throughout the last decade,” said Justin. “During a time of great change in the aerospace supply chain, I look forward to joining the team to build on successes and grow supply chain resilience and capacity.”
Justin’s career spans more than 30 years with 20 years of aerospace industry experience, including leadership roles in business development, manufacturing and supply chain at GE Aircraft Engines and Spirit Aerosystems prior to joining the Cessna team in 2011 where he led the integration into Textron Aviation. Most recently he served as Chief Procurement Office at Bass Pro Shops, where he led the integration of Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops.
Justin is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing leader. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Baker University and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Kansas State University.
