Nearly 1,500 middle and high school students, along with nearly 100 educators and parents from 41 Kansas schools, celebrated National Manufacturing Day with a visit to the Textron Aviation Activity Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Textron Aviation employees from engineering, manufacturing, parts, flight operations, customer support and other departments showcased the company’s innovation and influence on the aviation industry and beyond. Attendees explored 23 interactive exhibits, including flight simulation, a close-up look at Cessna piston aircraft and a build-your-own airplane assembly line.
Students and educators experienced a hands-on introduction to aviation and career opportunities in designing, building and flying iconic Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft.
The event is part of Textron Aviation’s broader commitment to workforce development and community growth. By working alongside local schools and offering early exposure to aviation careers, the company continues to build a strong pipeline of future talent and mentorship for the next generation of aviation professionals.
