On Saturday, Nov. 11, our country will observe Veterans Day across the United States. The observance of this day began at the end of World War I when the Armistice with Germany went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. It was recognized as a federal holiday in 1954 and is our country’s way of celebrating the service of all U.S. military veterans.
This holiday is special to many of Textron Aviation’s employees, who either served or had family members who served. While they may have represented different military branches, each of them was ultimately working together for the same common goal of defending the freedoms of our country.
Veterans Day is also important to Textron Aviation, which employs nearly 1,500 veterans, including veterans of war and some active military personnel. Thank you to all our veterans who have served our country, and their loved ones for their unwavering support. We are proud to support you today and beyond.
