The focus of this accreditation is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions resulting from operating ground support vehicles and equipment.

Since 2019, the company has consistently decreased its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 15% annually at the Wichita Service Center by increasing the use of electric ground power units (GPUs) compared to diesel or propane GPUs. Go Teams and mobile service units (MSUs) also increased the use of fuel-efficient vehicles across the team, which resulted in less fuel purchased for operations.

Textron Aviation remains an active participant in conversations and industry events dedicated to sustainability initiatives in aviation, like this accreditation for the Wichita Service Center and the certification from the National Air Transportation Association’s (NATA) Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses achieved by all 20 Textron Aviation Service Centers. The company collaborates with suppliers and stakeholders to find the most efficient and future-forward ways to manufacture and support products and to procure energy.
