Hawker Beechcraft Names Ron Gunnarson Vice President of Marketing Communications

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced the recent appointment of Ron Gunnarson as vice president of Marketing Communications. Gunnarson is responsible for the global marketing and branding of HBC’s range of industry-leading products, to include commercial, government business and special mission aircraft. In addition, he oversees corporate communications, market analysis and the marketing efforts of the company’s Global Customer Support organization and international dealer network.

“Ron’s experience with the company and the Hawker and Beechcraft products is invaluable in this role,” said Shawn Vick, HBC executive vice president. “His leadership will help build upon the company’s extensive growth and success around the world.”

Gunnarson has more than 20 years of experience with the company, serving most recently as director of Marketing. He has been instrumental in various areas throughout the company during this time, holding marketing leadership roles for customer support, commercial products and the company’s previously-owned fractional operations, Travel Air.

Gunnarson is a 2,500-hour commercial pilot and also spent several years as a demonstration pilot on the Beech Starship, the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP and all King Air models. He received bachelor’s degrees in aeronautical studies and public relations from the University of North Dakota.
