Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) recently demonstrated the value, productivity and versatility of its flagship super-midsize business jet, the Hawker 4000, on a nine-day, nine-city tour of Latin America. Departing from HBC headquarters in Wichita, Kan., the 4000 transported a full passenger load of sales, customer support and special mission leaders on a tour of the company’s sales and customer support locations throughout Central and South America. This marks the company’s third Latin America aircraft demonstration tour over the last year.

“We continue to generate substantial interest for the Hawker 4000 in Latin America,” said Richard Emery, HBC president, Americas Jet Sales. “After our tour last August, we received encouraging feedback from our customers and prospects in the region. Given this response to the airplane, we were delighted to bring it back to South America so soon.”

Covering more than 12,000 miles, the tour included stops in Mexico City; Guatemala City; Bogota, Columbia; Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Manaus, Brazil; and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. While in Chile, the HBC team attended the ground breaking ceremony of a new maintenance facility of its recently appointed sales distributor Aviasur.

“This trip was an excellent way to show customers in South America how the Hawker 4000 can work for them,” Emery said. “The performance of the Hawker 4000, coupled with its terrific cabin environment, allowed our team of eight individuals to be productive throughout the trip. We were able to conduct meetings en route and arrive rested and ready to meet with our customers and representatives.”
