Beechcraft Corporation today announced at the 2013 Dubai Airshow the appointment of South Africa-based Absolute Aviation as an authorized parts distributor for sub-Saharan Africa.

Absolute Aviation, which has acted as Beechcraft’s exclusive distributor for sub-Saharan Africa since 2011, will have $1 million of inventory in stock at Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, to support the entire Beechcraft product line as well as the Hawker 125-series.

“We are delighted to be expanding on our existing relationship with Absolute Aviation,” said Christi Tannahill, Beechcraft senior vice president, Global Customer Support (GCS). “We appointed Absolute Aviation as a parts distributor because they have built up an excellent reputation in sub-Saharan Africa as our aircraft representative and we feel that by stocking a full range of parts in South Africa, it will increase the level of support we can provide to our customers in the region.”

Beechcraft is displaying a King Air 350ER, King Air 350i, King Air C90GTx and its AT-6 light attack aircraft at chalet C7 at the Dubai Airshow event this week at Dubai World Central.

Headquartered in Wichita, Kan., GCS is dedicated to improving the value of both Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft by employing products and services to simplify aircraft ownership, reduce operating cost and increase resale value. GCS is comprised of five functional groups that include Support Plus (cost predictability/warranty programs), Parts & Distribution (genuine factory parts), Hawker Beechcraft Services (factory-owned service centers), Technical Support (Field Support Representatives, Hot Line specialists and Technical Publications) and Global Mission Support (government business and special mission maintenance / training support).
